Description
Dished head, also known as hemming with spherical head. Consists of a sphere, a cylinder of a straight edge height and radius of curvature of connecting these two portions is substantially less than the radius of the spherical part of the composition of the transition. Dished head as a continuous surface, at the junction of three parts, the radius of curvature of the warp mutations, due to changes in curvature, therefore there is bending stress. Bending stress and tensile stress superposition result, the stress this part protruding from the rest. Compared with oval head, uniform stress distribution which is better, but easier than working, which is not ideal in engineering use. But when the head of the oval mold is difficult, then replaced with a dished head.
